E.P. Carrillo Inch Maduro
E.P. Carrillo has never been afraid to make a large ring gauge cigar, and was one of the first blenders to see major success in that arena. In 2012, he decided to make INCH, a line specifically designed to showcase those larger cigars. The name INCH, of course, comes from the size of the cigar, with a 64 ring gauge equalling one inch in diameter.
All the sizes in the line are a 60 ring gauge or larger, going all the way up to 70! INCH was originally released in two blends (INCH Maduro and INCH Natural), with additional variants arriving in the years following.
The INCH Maduro uses a dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and Dominican fillers. You can expect your traditionally gritty Connecticut Broadleaf flavors with the INCH Maduro, including coffee, earth, and cedar. Like the rest of the INCH line, this is a fairly bold cigar, falling in the medium-full strength range.
