Don Lino Africa
Nestor Miranda says his life was changed after he went on safari in Africa. Shortly after he returned, Miami Cigar & Co. released the Don Lino Africa. The cigar hit the market in 2006 and found immediate success. As time passed, the Don Lino Africa began to disappear.
Fast-forward to 2019: Miami Cigar & Co. was celebrating their 30th anniversary and they went all-out to celebrate. Part of that celebration was the reincarnation of the Don Lino Africa line. They wanted the cigar to get an update from the original blend, so they turned to one of the hottest names in the cigar industry: A.J. Fernández.
The updated Don Lino Africa cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over an African Cameroon binder. The filler features some unique tobaccos, including Piloto Dominicano and Nicaraguan tobaccos from Ometepe, Jalapa, and Estelí. This blend will have you "blessing the rains" and promptly reaching for another... with notes of creamy cedar, sweet cocoa, and spicy black pepper.

It is definitely not a typical “morning cigar” as it is medium full bodied and does have a moderate nicotine kick to it. Really enjoyable any time of day, and the only cigar I’ve gone through two boxes of in under 18 months.

As I started working my way through the first third I instantly regretted assuming how it would be based on two of the most useless features of a cigar. I greatly enjoyed this cigar as it burned incredibly well and the tobaccos notes were so good I found my self constantly retrohaling. All in all this cigar surprised me and I would certainly recommend it!
