Gurkha Nicaragua
Gurkha Nicaragua Series marks a tremendous milestone for one of the most well-known cigar brands the world over. Indeed, for the first time, Gurkha has turned to the highly respected Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (aka TABSA) factory for production. Not only does this afford Gurkha the artisan craftsmanship of the renowned TABSA factory, but (perhaps more importantly) access to the legendary Aganorsa tobacco, grown on the Fernández family's many farms throughout Nicaragua.
As most any self-respecting cigar geek will tell you, Aganorsa tobacco plus TABSA craftsmanship is a winning recipe. The Gurkha Nicaragua Series makes ample use of their newfound partnership, all the while adding their signature flair for design and exciting smoking profiles. To accomplish the latter, Gurkha selected a highly specific blend of Nicaraguan leaves, including Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 in the filler, a double binder of Corojo ’99 leaves, and a Corojo ’99 Clara wrapper.
Rolled and blended in the style of traditional Cuban habanos, the Gurkha Nicaragua Series takes on a similarly deep and refined smoking profile. This includes a medium body and inherently Nicaraguan characteristics of pepper spice, roasted nuts, graham cracker, buttered toast, nutmeg, and chewy toffee candy.

CPChris Pratz - Gurkha Nicaragua ToroOnly Gurkha that I enjoy and feel is worth the price. Received this in a COTM pack and was pleasantly surprised. Nicarguan puro, this does not lack the typical spiciness. Retrohale is a bit strong but theres also coffee, chocolate and some baking spice thru out. Give this one a try if youre on the fence about Gurkha.
