While legendary cigarmaker José "Don Pepín" García steered the direction of the García family and their cigar operation since arriving in Miami in 2002, Jaime García (son of Pepín García) left his own mark on the cigar world a few years later, showcasing the acclaimed My Father cigar in 2008 (a cigar so impactful that it led to the name change for the Garcías' factory AND company itself). Clearly on one hell of a roll, Jaime followed up the My Father Cigar with the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial only one year later.
Differing from the Cubanesque style of his first hit, Jaime changed gears with the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial cigar. This includes the use of a dark and gritty Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, which surrounds all-Nicaraguan binder and filler. This amounts to one of the darkest, heartiest blends in the My Father Cigars lineup, being a go-to selection of maduro maniacs since the cigar's introduction. The experience is medium-full in body, being known for standout flavors of earth, toasted oak, black pepper, and a long-lasting mocha sweetness that'll keep you coming back time and again.
