For many cigar hobbyists, the legendary Don Pepin Garcia Original cigar (aka Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label, aka DPG Blue) is the one that started it all—sending them down the yellow brick road to craft-cigar bliss.
Don Pepin Garcia Original is typically regarded as the first cigar to gain recognition from Master Blender Don Pepín García upon arriving in Miami in the early 2000s. García was once regarded among the best rollers in all of Cuba, later emigrating to Miami's Little Havana neighborhood to try his hand at running a small factory and brand. In hindsight, it's no surprise that García is now among the most respected names in all of premium cigars, with the Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label starting it all!
The Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label begins with an especially oily Corojo oscuro wrapper, being secured over all-Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The cigars are often noted for their punchy pepper spice through the retrohale, helping to inspire García's signature "Pepín spice" profile that cigar fanatics crave. With the DPG Blue, expect a medium-full intensity, offering a Cubanesque profile with added intensity, including standout flavors of black pepper, fresh-cut cedar, toasted bread, and touched of candied nuts.

The burn is perfect and I love the white ash. It is a hearty stick to have after a big meal and pairs welll with Bourbon.
