For famed cigarmaker A.J. Fernández, the term could only be in reference to tobacco. With the Fernández family tracing their roots to San Luís, Cuba, there is a strong nostalgia tied to the smoking experiences of pre-Castro-era Cuba. These are the cigars that Fernández's father and grandfather smoked, and the A.J. Fernández Días de Gloria seeks to honor this magic era with a special cigar blend that is near and dear to the Fernández family.

Días de Gloria translates to mean days of glory, featuring highly aged tobaccos throughout the entire recipe. The cigar makes use of a Nicaraguan puro blend, selecting tobaccos from Fernández's four oldest farms. These tobaccos were then set aside, allowing up to seven years' age for every leaf included. Through the help of Ismael Fernández (father of A.J. Fernández), Días de Gloria has taken on a truly nostalgic experience, on par with that of Cuba's heyday. The cigar offers a medium-plus body, lighting up with precise flavors of cabinet spices, brown sugar, oily butter, ginger spice, and loads of smooth, palate-coating cream.
