Crowned Heads Coroneta Maduro

The Coroneta line from Crowned Heads is an unorthodox concept from the Nashville-based brand. Where cigar lines often come in a single form, later expanding with contrasting wrapper options, the Coroneta cuts straight to the chase, introducing maduro and Habano profiles from the get go. But Crowned Heads takes the concept a step further, employing the talents of two unique factories from two unique countries... amounting to two unique smoking experiences under one cohesive name: Coroneta.

The first of the two blends to ship was the Crowned Heads Coroneta Maduro cigar (later joined by the Crowned Heads Coroneta Habano), a rich maduro-wrapped smoking experience that was overseen by cigar Hall of Fame member Ernesto Perez-Carrillo at his acclaimed Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic. The blend begins with a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, which surrounds a contrasting Ecuadorian Connecticut binder (interesting, as these two ingredients are often seen vice versa). These cover leaves surround diverse fillers, including ingredients from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Pennsylvania.

With the Coroneta line, Crowned Heads is firing on all cylinders, showing off the perfect combination of Cubanesque nostalgia with a modern flair. The Coroneta Maduro cigar shows a complex profile, being medium-plus to medium-full in body and evolving nicely from start to finish.
