That was the case with Dunbarton's Todos Las Días, a line that went on indefinite hiatus when the blend could no longer be produced to Steve Saka’s standards. Now, under Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust’s Archive Series, the Double Wide Belicoso returns in limited fashion, offering longtime fans another shot at one of the company’s boldest blends.
Originally introduced as a no-frills, strength-forward Nicaraguan puro, Todos Las Días was built to reflect the peppery soil of Estelí and the hardworking spirit behind it. The Double Wide Belicoso format, measuring 4¾" x 60, proved to be one of the most distinctive sizes in the lineup, combining a stout profile with a tapered head that sharpened the delivery. Produced at the Joya de Nicaragua factory, the blend centers on Nicaraguan tobaccos, designed to escalate in body and intensity as the cigar progresses rather than fading with time.
Once lit, the TDL Archive Series release stays true to its reputation. Chili pepper and dense natural tobacco notes lead the charge, supported by earth, wood, and a subtle maple-like sweetness that surfaces through the midsection. The strength builds steadily, moving from balanced to commanding, creating a smoke that rewards seasoned palates. In this figurado format, the blend feels focused and deliberate. Of course, Todos Las Días was never rolled for the faint of heart. It was made for those who smoke every day, and who prefer their cigars to make that fact known.
