RockaFeller Gold Series
A cigar bearing the name Rock-A-Feller screams of excellence, and with good reason, as the company was co-founded by a member of the Rockefeller family (i.e. one of the most powerful families in American history) in 2009. In the years since, the reins have been handed over to Kevin Schweitzer, a former Wall Street trader with a similar appreciation for success. Among Vintage Rock-A-Feller Cigars' more limited offerings lies the Rock-A-Feller Gold Series cigar, a Nicaraguan-forward blend that debuted in 2017. The Gold Series makes use of a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper; this leaf is joined by an Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers of Nicaragua (Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe) and Pennsylvania Broadleaf.
Limited in production, the Rock-A-Feller Gold Series cigars are crafted for the discerning palate. This amounts to a medium-plus intensity, hitting standout complexities of toasted oak, earth, black pepper, and sweet mocha.

DMDavid Moorhead - Rock-A-Feller Gold Series Box Pressed ToroI have reached passed this cigar a few times at local stores, but was sent one as part of a COTM club. Construction was solid and despite a small touch up needed in 1st third, the burn was great, considered I was tinkering in the yard in S.Florida humidity. Earthy flavor was present from start to finish. While I didn't pick up on stronger pepper notes until about half way through, they blended well when they did come in. Retro-hale was not harsh and added to flavor complex. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with this cigar. I may grab a 5 pack for more testing. ;)

EMEthan Miller - Rock-A-Feller Gold Series Box Pressed ToroSweet black coffee. Pepper flavor, without the overwhelming “spice” of it. Puts out CLOUDS of smoke but is not overly oily.

DLDavid Leavell - Rock-A-Feller Gold Series Box Pressed ToroI received this stick in my COM pack. Looks out the the gate were very nice, dark and shimmer of oil. I really like the MSA wrapper. The smell of the stick was very nice, you can pick up on Sweet coco and light earthy notes. The Cold draw I picked up on a little coffee and hay. Once lit, very smooth draw, nice smoke flavor, good on the nose. last 1/3 really picks up on expresso like qualities. really nice stick.
