Punch Brotherhood "The People's Champ"

For a legacy Cuban brand, you would't expect Punch to be a leader in terms of forward-thinking cigar concepts. But you'd be dead wrong, as the Honduran-based brand—led by the cheeky attitude of mascot Mr. Punch—is constantly upping their game; be it through social media, interactive games, or engaging tobacco-blending concepts.

The latest such project to come to fruition is The People’s Champ by Punch. The impetus of this cigar dates back to 2019, where Punch kicked off the Punch Brotherhood, an online gathering of cigar fanatics with the primary objective of blending a cigar for the people, by the people. Punch fans collaborated not only on the ideal flavor profile, but the cigar's size and even packaging!

Three years in the making, The People’s Champ cigar is finally here. Taking the votes from across the globe into account, the Punch teams of Honduras and the US have accomplished something truly unique. This includes a Honduran Habano wrapper from the Talanga Valley, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and diverse filler ingredients from the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Nicaragua. Rolled at the famed HATSA factory of Honduras, The People’s Champ by Punch offers a medium body and standout flavors of roasted nuts, leather, zesty cabinet spice, and subtle sweetness that lingers on the palate. It's just what you (or at least cigar hobbyists at large) ordered!
