Plasencia 1865 Alma Fuerte
Plasencia Alma Fuerte was the first cigar in the Plasencia family's ultra-premium Alma Series, which first debuted at the tail end of 2016. Each cigar in the Alma Series incorporates "Alma" in the title, with the word translating from Spanish to mean "Soul." In the case of Alma Fuerte, the cigar is named for its "Strong Soul," which can be used to represent the Plasencia's own fighting sprit, as well as the cigar's heavy-hitting smoking profile!
For this special blend, the Plasencia's have unlocked the vault to their most premium Nicaraguan tobaccos. The family's own Nicaraguan-grown leaves have been used throughout the cigar's filler, binder, and wrapper; focusing on Criollo '98 seed and incorporating tobaccos harvested from each of Nicaragua's four major growing regions (Condega, Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe).
Alma Fuerte is bolstered by unique finishing touches such as custom wooden boxes that transform into fully functioning ash trays when the cigars are removed. In addition, atypical sizes have been rolled, such as a bizarre six-sided hexagonal press (Sixto II) and a box-pressed salomon (Generacion V). But the ultra-premium smoking experience is the true all-star here, with Alma Fuerte showcasing a medium-plus strength, full flavor, and full body profile. Expect deep and complex transitions throughout, lead by long-lasting flavors of creamy coffee, zesty spices, fresh mountain pine, loads of mineral, chocolate, and dense Nutella.
