The Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged collection is made up of three wrapper styles: Maduro, Sun Grown, and Connecticut. Each of these varieties bring something unique to the table, while all are bound by a common core of well-aged Nicaraguan fillers and bourbon barrel-aged wrappers. The Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maduro features six-year aged Cuban-seed Nicaraguan leaves throughout the binder/filler. This impressive interior is finalized with a six-year aged dark Cuban-seed maduro wrapper that has spent an additional 14 months in used bourbon barrels. Yeah, there's a lot going on here, and it shows! The final experience kicks off with a blast of earth and black pepper, slowly evolving to include sweeter flavors of milk chocolate, mocha, and touches of vanilla.

MKMartin Kollman - Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel Aged Maduro RobustoI had tried the Connecticut version of this and it didn't impress me beyond what I expected in a Connecticut, but the maduro is a whole other story. This has a lot more of the barrel age flavor and plays better with the strengths of this blend to make a tasty cigar with coffee, cocoa, molasses, and oak flavor that has a slight hint of the bourbon residue. The cigar burns well and offers a easy draw for a pleasant experience and could be on the every day side of cigars or anytime enjoyment. Not a cigar that knocked me out of the park or smack you in the face with the bourbon flavor, so it fell into a nice cigar and got 4 stars.
