Partagas Cortado
Crafting premium cigars since 1845, Partagas is among the oldest, best-known premium cigar brands in the world. In its non-Cuban form, the original Partagas (aka Partagas Yellow Label) and its counterpart, Partagas Black Label, have long stood as pillars within the company's acclaimed portfolio.
These core-line cigars are now joined by the Partagas Cortado cigar, bringing cigar aficionados a proper Connecticut Shade-wrapped Partagas smoking experience for the first time. Not only this, but the Cortado also marks the first time Partagas has been rolled in Nicaragua (traditionally hailing from the DR), being crafted at the renowned STG Estelí factory.
Partagas Cortado is named for the caffeinated beverage of the same name, which consists of espresso mixed with an equal amount of warm milk. A similar experience is brought out in the cigar through the use of a silky-smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, an Indonesian binder, and fillers of Honduras (Jamastran), Mexico (San Andrés), and Nicaragua (Condega and Jalapa). The end result is both delicate and flavorful, gracing the palate with fine-tuned flavors of baking spice, sage, bittersweet espresso, and aromatic, floral sweetness that lingers through the retrohale.
