My Father La Gran Oferta
The original My Father cigar debuted in 2008, with Jaime Garcia working on the blend as a surprise gift to his father, the legendary José “Pepin” Garcia.
Ten years after the cigar's introduction, the brand has now grown to include six unique blends, the latest of which being known as La Gran Oferta. With this cigar, the Garcias have drawn inspiration from a vintage cigar that dates back to 1913. The title is Spanish for "the great offering", and the cigars have been outfitted with classic artwork inspired from the original cigars of the early 20th century.
For the blend, all-Nicaraguan, Cuban-seed tobaccos have been selected from the Garcia's own Nicaraguan farms; used throughout the cigar's filler and binder. The finishing touch is an especially oily Habano Rosado wrapper, originating from Ecuador. This combination produces a more subdued experience, at least when compared to the full-bodied tendencies of the My Father collection. La Gran Oferta is medium to medium-plus in strength, showcasing a classic smoking profile that honors the history of the original brand.
