In addition to hosting one of the most popular news commentary podcasts in the country, Michael Knowles is also a best-selling author (hilariously penning an empty book in 2017), a former actor, and now... cigar brand owner!
Long a premium cigar enthusiast, Knowles started the cigar club, Society for Intellectual Growth and Reinvigoration (SIGAR), while studying at Yale University in his college years. It's said that he even got his start with The Daily Wire through a cleverly written cigar review. With Mayflower Cigars, Knowles draws inspiration from his family heritage and a deep love for America and its history. Remarkably, four of his ancestors were among those who sailed on the Mayflower voyage in 1620.
Mayflower Cigars debuted in 2023 with two offerings: Mayflower Dawn and Mayflower Dusk, each being crafted out of the highly respected Oliva factory in Nicaragua. The cigars feature contrasting profiles, with the Dawn being geared for morning or afternoon smoking experiences, showcasing a mellow profile through the use of an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, being rolled over a Cameroon binder and all-Nicaraguan fillers. The Dusk, on the other hand, is fuller in intensity, pairing nicely with evening and late-night smoking sessions. This blend uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Sumatra binder, and all-Nicaraguan fillers.
