The project was entrusted to Klaas Kelner (Henke's son), working out of his Kelner Cigars factory. He revived a diadema fina format once crafted by his father, stretching seven inches with gentle tapers at both ends. The blend is anchored by an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, joined by an undisclosed interior that includes tobacco from the DR's Yamasá region. It is a thoughtful nod to the regions and styles that shaped Henke Kelner’s palate and the family’s broader Dominican identity.
Once lit, the Kelner LE 80 cigar focuses on balance and texture rather than volume. The profile unfurls with subtle spice, warm earth, and a polished sweetness that settles in without hurry. Creamy undertones weave through the smoke, joined by toasted nuts and the mineral-snap signature of Yamasá.
