Since debuting in 2016, the limited Bishops Blend cigar line from Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) has remained one of the company's most sought-after releases, known for its rich, maduro-heavy flavor profile.
With BLTC celebrating its milestone 10th anniversary in 2023, they have revealed a tweaked version of the blend, dubbed Novemdiales. Playing off the bishop theme, the term novemdiales refers to a Roman Catholic tradition, where a nine-day period of mourning follows the death of the pope. However, this doesn't mean that the OG Bishops Blend is dead... it simply has a new alternate experience to choose from!
The Black Label Bishops Blend Novemdiales has a similar binder/filler to the original, featuring Nicaraguan, Pennsylvanian, and Connecticut Broadleaf throughout the filler, being secured in an Ecuadorian Habano leaf. This hearty core is now wrapped in an equally bold Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper (replacing the Ecuadorian maduro of the original cigar), amounting to a full-bodied experience of earth, black licorice, touches of clove, and a sweet stone fruit underbelly.

These are limited so best get them while you can. I highly recommend pairing with a hard cheddar or pepper jack and dark chocolate.
