ADVentura Explorer
The Explorer was the first cigar line by ADVentura Cigars to hit the US market. Henderson Ventura (of Tabacalera William Ventura fame) and Marcel Knobel (Swiss sommelier and cigar retailer) joined forces to create a new cigar brand back in 2016, and many of their initial releases were available only in the European market. In 2019, they made the leap into the US market, and they hit the ground running.
The ADVentura The Explorer cigar is rolled at the famed Tabacalera William Ventura factory in the Dominican Republic. Many cigars from brands like Room101 and Caldwell Cigar Co. hail from this factory, so you know they are doing something right.
The Explorer is loaded with flavor, and much of that comes from the cigar's Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Throw in an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder with fillers from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador (that are aged five to seven years) and you have a blend for the adventurous cigar hobbyist. The experience begins with a ton of dark chocolate... and then things get spicy. Cinnamon and black pepper join the show, and that is all balanced out by a leathery richness.
